Welcome Back To The World Of Assassination In... HITMAN 3!

It's safe to say that HITMAN 3 is the first AAA title of 2021.

We're here... at the dramatic conclusion to the World of Assassinations trilogy. Players/Agents will dive back in on a globetrotting, heart-pounding adventure that is sure to send me back to the drawing board again and again... to figure out how best to approach my missions. This time around Agent 47 will be dealing with the most important contracts of his entire career... according to the team at IOI.

Needless to say that I look forward to jumping back in with Diana Burnwood in my ear while joining forces with 47's long-lost friend Lucas Grey. I haven't even played yet, and I'm already suspicious of the guy... because you just never know what the twist maybe.

Anyway, the ultimate mission is to eliminate the partners of Providence while adapting to situations as the hunt turns up. Apparently, something is going to happen that will change everything. If you want to find out, grab the game on PS5, PS4, XBSX, XB1, or PC!

The next Elusive Target in HITMAN is... WHO?! WTF?!

Sooo, yeah... we were in this office yesterday and Square-Enix hit us up with some crazy news. There is going to be a Wildcard target dropping on July 21st for HITMAN (voted on by the fans) and... I was clued in yesterday when Blu told me that the next Elusive Target is Gary (freaking) Busey. First I was like... "You're joking right?", and he was like "Not at all", which made me think of why in the frack would someone want to be a target to be taken out in a game? But... it's a game... + he's an actor, so being killed on film is nothing new to him (of course not really being killed, but... you know what I mean). Even if I don't take on Gary, I will be spectating. By the way, he was picked over Gary Cole.

I think this... should be an extremely difficult mission, a kill or be killed scenario would be different. Anyway... time for Tex-Mex, check out the additional information below and... Game oN!

Also, today you have access to the summer missions with details directly... from the source:

The IconWhen the town of Sapienza is taken over by a film crew shooting a new sci-fi blockbuster. Agent 47 must aim to retire one of the cast members during a climactic scene being staged late at night in the town square.

A House Built on SandSet at the frenetic night markets in Marrakesh, a mole for a major construction company is about to sell secrets to their largest rivals. Agent 47 is tasked with making sure the leak stops there.

From the Source: Square-Enix... HITMAN Episode 3 is ready for action!

COPENHAGEN, May 31, 2016 - Io-Interactive is happy to announce the launch of HITMAN Episode 3: Marrakesh today.

The featured mission, ‘A Gilded Cage’, sees Agent 47 travel to the busy market city of Marrakesh to target corrupt private banker Claus Strandberg and his accomplice Army General Reza Zaydan before the city of contrasts collapses into a riot.

“Marrakesh marries the concepts of the first two offerings of HITMAN – Paris and Sapienza,” said Hannes Seifert, Studio Head at Io-Interactive. “We have the fortressed, at times claustrophobic, nature of the Showstopper event in Paris combined with the expansiveness and lived-in feeling of Sapienza all in one. I think Marrakesh is really going to give players a lot to explore and experiment with.”

Marrakesh offers a richly detailed, dense creative stealth sandbox featuring two targets, a host of opportunities and challenges to explore and a living environment that transports you from crowded markets to magical souks, from the cool elegance of the Swedish consulate to the military-occupied remains of an abandoned school. Infiltrate a consulate under siege to kill a man everyone hates and take out the army general that freed him from his prison shackles in Episode 3 of HITMAN.

Check out the trailer below!

HITMAN started with a Prologue and the Paris location in March. Episode 2: Sapienza released in April and now Episode 3: Marrakesh has arrived in May. HITMAN will continue to deliver regular content updates, including three additional locations; Thailand, the United States and the season finale in Japan later in 2016. The game also recently launched the new “Elusive Targets” feature, with two targets encountered by players so far...Marrakesh is sure to hide more.

Marrakesh is FREE as part of the Full Experience Pack. Owners of the Intro Pack can choose either the Upgrade Pack for $50, which will then include all of this year’s content as it’s released including live and bonus content – or choose to purchase the location individually for $10 (or local equivalent).

HITMAN is available on the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, and Windows PC.

NEW ‘LEGACY OPENING CINEMATIC’

BETA OPEN TO PLAYSTATION PLUS MEMBERS ON MARCH 4
Io-Interactive today releases a new trailer, the ‘Legacy Opening Cinematic’ bridges the twenty year gap in the new HITMAN game between the end of the Prologue and the Sanguine Fashion Show in Paris.

The trailer takes viewers all the way back to the thermal baths of the Hotel Gallard in Budapest as seen in the original Codename: 47 and to the Chilean Delgado vineyard from Blood Money, as it charts a journey through some iconic Hitman moments.

Plus, after a successful beta on PS4, Io-Interactive now invites all PlayStation Plus members to try out the HITMAN beta on March 4.

“Our initial beta was an extremely helpful moment for our new HITMAN game, as it gave us great insight into how the server game mechanics function under pressure. A lot of those pressure points are currently being strengthened for release,” said Hannes Seifert, Studio Head at Io-Interactive. “Now Sony have given us the opportunity to go even bigger to validate some of the initial things we saw. Therefore we are inviting everyone who is a PlayStation Plus member to try the same beta and you don’t have to pre-order the game. This will allow us to really stress test our server setup, which is a crucial element for us to get just right.”

Labeled “The Prologue”, the Beta takes place twenty years before the Paris Showstopper mission. Set in a secret ICA training facility, the Prologue features a pivotal moment in Agent 47’s life - his introduction to the ICA and very first meeting with his future handler Diana Burnwood. The Prologue features two free-form training hits, which will introduce players to the features and mechanics of the upcoming HITMAN game. The Prologue will also be available as part of the first episode of HITMAN.

HITMAN will launch on March 11th for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, and Windows PC.

Hitman Go... reviewed!

This game is a breath of fresh air.

If you’ve had the pleasure of playing this game… then you may have just sat there and looked at how clean and pretty it looks (yes… pretty).

Hitman Go, doesn’t require much elsewhere regarding graphics, so Square-Enix Montreal was able to really lay in on the visuals nicely for mobile.

Hitman Go is a turn-based puzzle game delivering the feel of the board games some of us would pull off the shelf from time to time back in the day. I enjoyed the time with friends and family, and those board games were a great stepping stone to what I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing here.

The game starts out simple enough… giving you the basic feel of moving Agent 47 from point to point, but as you progress through the maps of the various boards… the duh of the day is that the challenge greatly increases.

This is a game for fans of strategy, and since it’s available on mobile it allows for you to enjoy it on the… Go (pun intended). Your moves are challenged by guards, and even things like rocks that produce sound… requiring you to throw them in a strategic way that doesn’t result in you ending up with the short end of the stick. Some guards move, some stand watch, etc. making you think again and again before you make a move (almost like chess with advantages on some boards if you use them to your advantage). So if you’re up to the challenge of a game that was delivered right… don’t sleep on this one.

Replay value is also there, and believe me when I tell you it’s strong, because there are incentives to completing stages in various forms.

Some stages challenge you to:
  •         Complete them with the lowest possible moves
  •         Complete them without killing any enemies
  •         Collect the Briefcase on the board before completing the level

And… there are also achievements, so you may find yourself coming back again and again to take on challenges that slipped through your hands. So whether you’re trying to get from start to finish without losing, trying to take out the boss character on a game board, complete challenges, or obtain achievements… you get more than enough value with this game at its price point (the music's pretty good too for this type of game).

Overall, Hitman Go is an experience i'd recommend for anyone... even if you aren't big on puzzle games, simply based on the feel of the game because it adds something good to your library (at least for me) via a genre that doesn't usually have this type of delivery. I give props to the puzzle genre though, because the innovation tends to be high... and this game was on target (just like this pun).
