Wrap Buddies... Reviewed!

Today I have the pleasure of reviewing a product known simply as... Wrap Buddies.

Yes... you can use this for gift wrapping, but... you can use multiple types of material for different wrapping purposes.

This product was actually born after Bret Wortman became frustrated with trying to wrap a gift... which is kind of funny, but that's usually where a good idea is born.

Wrap Buddies are these cool clips that go on the sides of tables, counters, or anywhere they can be clipped for use. They can be used for gift wrap + butcher paper + cellophane wrap & more.

I think this product would also work well for shrink wrap. I use a handheld wrap, but this would save some time when needed. I wouldn't need tape for shrink wrap, but when tape is needed for other wrapping materials, the side dispensers definitely come in handy.

Here's an example of the wrapping process.

One of the pluses of having Wrap Buddies is that it allows the wrapping material to be placed on something so that you can keep it stationary while neatly wrapping up a gift, meat, products, or whatever.

There is nothing complicated about this product, you just clip them on a table with the right space for your gift wrap, and... go. The tape dispenser part is supposed to face outward, if your clips look like this... just flip them (nothing more... nothing less).

The clips haven't moved around and maintained their hold during use... but I will tell you to always keep in mind that they're plastic. Get a little too tough on them and they could wrap, so take care of them and they should last.

Wrap Buddies have a great design... giving you plenty of room to grip and squeeze for clamping without giving your hand an unnecessary workout. You also have the built in tape dispensers (which was a great idea), and... you get a pretty good opening on the mouth of the clips to clamp onto multiple surfaces. As seen in the image above, this work table works well with the product.

The clips are easy to story, you just place them together and clip them somewhere... so they don't end up like some of our socks.

Price wise... $20 is... okay, but I think $10 would be more fitting. The people this may appeal to at this price would be the frustrated wrappers (wrap check... 1... 2... 1... 2!), and small businesses. The frustrated wrapper is the person you might find running out to a store or to a friend or family member to wrap their gifts. So $20 would be a shrug. A small business owner would likely shrug at the price because its inexpensive in terms of boosting productivity... which equals more efficiency and possibly more business.

Overall, Wrap Buddies is a pretty nifty product and it's actually useful (that's the biggest thing). You're able to set up your wrapping material, no matter the width... without the frustration of trying to keep it in place because these do the job so you can focus on wrapping the gift well.

The Concluding Episode of TELLTALE’S THE WALKING DEAD: THE FINAL SEASON available now!

Clementine's Story Comes to a Close Today, which means the review is coming soon!

All I can do is cross my fingers in hopes that Clementine lives on... or it will be a major downer. My daughter is named Clementine because of... this character (and no... my name isn't Lee, it's daddy). lol

TellTale's The Walking Dead doesn't just mean the game concludes and they do more Walking Dead games, this is it. I appreciate the efforts of the team to get us from the beginning to the end of this amazing story. If anything, they can put more effort into other games from this point (may more in-house IPs or working with some creative members of their faithful gaming community. Seriously, why not?

Before I forget... if you want to actually enjoy the game, don't search for this game in a search engine. Go to a retail site to buy the game if you intend to buy. There are spoilers everywhere.

Anyway... here's more info from the source:

March 26, 2019 (Los Angeles, Calif.) – The fourth and final episode of TELLTALE’S THE WALKING DEAD: THE FINAL SEASON, titled TAKE US BACK, is now available for PC via the Epic Games Store, as well as Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®4 and Xbox One. View the launch trailer for TAKE US BACK below.

After years on the road facing threats both living and dead, a secluded school might finally be Clementine’s chance for a home in THE WALKING DEAD: THE FINAL SEASON. Clementine has become a leader while watching over AJ, an orphaned boy and the closest thing to family she has left. In the aftermath of an explosive plan to save her friends, Clementine must now lead her flock of lost children back home. A herd of walkers, the vengeful raiders, and AJ’s troubled mind all stand in her way. Can she be the savior they need her to be?

Skybound Games, a division of Skybound Entertainment and the home of The Walking Dead comics, picked up development of TELLTALE’S THE WALKING DEAD after the closure of Telltale in late 2018. In order to finish the remaining two unreleased episodes for fans, original members of the development team, formerly of Telltale and now known as the Still Not Bitten team, joined forces with Skybound Games.

“It’s been an amazing experience working with the Still Not Bitten team to finish the final two episodes of TELLTALE’S THE WALKING DEAD for fans,” said Skybound Games CEO Ian Howe. “I’d like to thank the team for their dedication to completing Clementine’s story, and the fans for embracing Skybound Games as we worked to help bring closure to a story near-and-dear to so many.”

To date, TELLTALE’S THE WALKING DEAD has sold millions of episodes worldwide, earning more than 100 Game of the Year awards, and has also received two BAFTA Video Game Awards for Best Story.
THE FINAL SEASON (Episodes 1-4) is available digitally on each of the above platforms for $19.99. Physical boxed editions of THE FINAL SEASON for consoles are also out now at major retailers, including on the Skybound Shop ($29.99 for PS4 and Xbox One; $39.99 for Nintendo Switch). Those that previously purchased a Season Pass will automatically receive Episode 4.

Apple Arcade vs Google Stadia? Its On!!!

If you haven't heard... Apple has responded to Google (indirectly) with their own gaming platform.

Yes, folks, the Apple Arcade will be launching Fall 2019... but how will it compare? I guess it doesn't really have to compare, but I've seen... more promise from Google's Stadia platform.

I won't crap on Apple Arcade, because who knows what will be released on it. The Pathless... looks pretty good, so does OCEANHORN 2: Knights of the Lost Realm, Beyond a Steel Sky... which has a Borderlands meets Fallout vibe to it... and more. So who knows.

Apple Arcade will be an... All You Can Play subscription service.

No ads... No in-app purchases. 100+ games will be available.

Playable on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and... Apple TV (including offline... anywhere).

One plus I see with this is the ability for 6 family members to use the subscription. So families that use Apple products faithfully (which wouldn't be me)... they can game on one subscription.

Can they game all at once? Who knows. That... would be a question worth knowing, because taking turns would suck... royally. If everyone can game simultaneously, that's multiplayer action without the need to fish through a server (if you can game online with this).

Overall, I think it's good, because... both Apple and Google are giving their customer's more options. As long as the price is right... they should be fine, but I still think that Google has the upper hand as far as core gamers are concerned... just feels like there's more there. Doesn't mean it makes for better games... but Stadia caught my eye so much more than Apple Arcade.

I'm not buying Apple products for that. Either way... if it means more people gaming, thumbs up!
