Who is Jill Valentine?

Who's that girl... lala-lala-lala-la-lala-lala... Jill's that girl... lala-lala-lala-la-lala-lala.

Jill Valentine is a female protagonist from the spooky... zombie infested world of Resident Evil.

She is a fictional character (duh of the day) created by Shinji Mikami... who also directed the first installment of the legendary franchise back in 1996. Where we're you in 1996? Time flies doesn't it?

Jill was a former member of Delta Force before joining S.T.A.R.S... where we picked up the controller and joined in on her fight against the infamous pharmaceutical company... the Umbrella Corporation. She was one of two playable characters, the other was her partner, Chris Redfield.

S.T.A.R.S. is short for... Special Tactics And Rescue Service, which is the position where Jill started her Resident Evil journey as the only woman who was part of Captain Wesker's Alpha Team.

Later she became an operative for a private Anti-Biohazard Service... and is now the co-founder and member of her own organization, the B.S.A.A. (Level up!) B.S.A.A. is an acronym for the "Bio-terrorism Security Assessment Alliance".

I know that some of you will clear your throat and say that she's the first playable female in a survival horror game... but that's not true, ladies and dudes. There are games from back in day like... Friday the 13th on the NES and even Monsters ate my Neighbors on the Sega Genesis, and they have playable female characters. I wouldn't want to discredit older games.

By the way, did you know that Jill was even infected with the T-Virus?! Yep yep... but I won't give away what installment that occurred in. During this frightening time (although its frightening at all points in Resident Evil)... Jill also went through numerous biological tests by the villainous Albert Wesker. She was under mind-control and was used as a vessel to keep the T-Virus alive and well.

I digress... to present some more upbeat information about Jill. Outside of her making her film debut in Resident Evil: Apocalypse (played by Sienna Guillory), she also made the Guinness World Records Gamer's Edition for 2011... as one of the Top 50 Video Game Characters of All Time!

It may sound crazy, but as of 2020... the Japanese-French American zombie slayer is... 45 years old! Nothing wrong with that... and i'm sure if Capcom keeps the story progressing with time... she's still be an incredible butt kicking machine (if the threat remains that is).

Jill Valentine has been to hell and back... and is about to go right back into the world of zombie crawling madness in the Resident Evil 3 remake! You ready?

Jill Valentine is one of the last remaining people in Raccoon City to witness the atrocities Umbrella performed. To stop her, Umbrella unleashes their ultimate secret weapon; Nemesis! Also includes Resident Evil Resistance, a new 1 vs 4 online multiplayer game set in the Resident Evil universe where four survivors face-off against a sinister Mastermind.
