Highrise City: A New Era of City Building with the Vacation Season DLC

Highrise City, the standout PC Steam city builder from FourExo Entertainment and Deck13 Spotlight, has captured the hearts of gamers with its unique blend of classic city-building elements and intricate economic simulation. This game has set a new standard, leaving recent competitors in the dust with its depth and complexity. One thing I will say is that the tutorial needs to be cleaned up a bit, even if it means holding a noobs hand, its worth it. Knowing the controls makes the experience that much better. Since the team is active in terms of updates, I was able to reach out to the Devs with the goal of improving the tutorial.

Deck13 Spotlight is thrilled to announce the release of the second PC DLC for Highrise City, Vacation Season, launching on August 5th on Steam and Good Old Games for just $9.99. Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Adventure is an artfully cool experience + Gameplay!

By the way, before I get started... I have to shout out Epic Games and the new cooperation w/ SDGT!

Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Adventure, is a puzzle adventure game developed by Furniture & Mattress. Even I had to double check the name of this developer, love the lighthearted comical approach to the name. Then again, if the game studio is located above a furniture store... that would be quite interesting.

Anyway, Arranger... follows the story of Jemma, a small-town misfit on a journey of self-discovery. She ventures beyond her cozy confines to find an inspiring world, but also one ruled by fear and a strange, immovable ‘static’ force. The gameplay takes place on a unique, interconnected grid that unites movement, exploration, and combat and it's simple on the surface... but don't get it twisted, it's a challenging puzzler.

As Jemma moves, anything on the same row or column moves with her (as seen in the gameplay below), creating a playful sense of chaos and interesting puzzles. So you will have to figure things out by way of the grid-based movement system. The game is designed to be an easy to play RPG. You won't find XP or inventory management here, focusing instead on in-world interactions. The story-driven adventure aims to disrupt a culture of stagnation and help Jemma find her place in the world.

Outside of the gameplay, I love the artwork. It's always great to see games showcasing illustrations, and this game has art throughout. It's colorful and works well with the simple yet complex gameplay. It feels like it's straight out of a whimsical storybook or a comic strip with a lot more depth than those I'm use to. Looking at the art style and how simple + inviting the game is... I feel like this would be a challenging cozy couch title that people of all ages can enjoy, and since it's rated E... your younglings should be good to go! Arranging: A Role-Puzzling Adventure is available now!

Once Human: The Post-Apocalyptic Survival Game + The First 30 Gameplay!

In the vast landscape of survival games, “Once Human” stands out as a compelling blend of open-world exploration, intense combat, and intricate crafting. Developed by Starry Studio, this multiplayer game thrusts players into a post-apocalyptic world where humanity is on the brink of extinction due to an alien contamination known as Stardust. That could've been the perfect name for a tag team partner to have alongside WWE's Goldust.

Survival at Its Core

“Once Human” challenges players to navigate a world teeming with monstrous enemies and scarce resources. As a Meta-Human, players possess unique abilities to combat the Stardust infection and survive the harsh environment. The game emphasizes cooperation, allowing players to unite with friends to build territories, fight off threats, and uncover the secrets behind the apocalypse. Squad up!

Crafting and Customization

One of the game’s standout features is its deep crafting system. Building a sanctuary is equally detailed, offering players the freedom to design and relocate their bases as needed. You will need to become skilled with crafting for a successful adventure.

Engaging Storyline

Beyond survival, “Once Human” offers a rich narrative that delves into the origins of Stardust and its impact on the world. Players will encounter various factions, each with their own motives and stories, adding layers of intrigue and depth to the gameplay.

First Impressions and Unique Elements

When I first saw this game, I didn’t foresee it being the way it ultimately turned out. Not sure what I really thought I’d expect, but the Meta-Human aspect is a nice touch and elevated it a bit more beyond arming oneself with traditional weapons only to take on the baddies. I think the depth of this game will please those who are fans of co-op survival, crafting, horror, and third-person shooters.

Once Human” is more than just a survival game; it’s an immersive experience that combines strategy, action, and storytelling in a beautifully crafted world. Whether you’re a fan of survival games or new to the genre, “Once Human” promises an adventure worth embarking on.

Tip: If you are looking for the Extradimensional Cat... just look on the roof of the home located just behind the Deadsville Teleporter. If it gets away during your attempt to capture it, no worries, just teleport out and try again when you zap back. Happy Hunting Control Wielding-Weekenders, Game On! Blu
