FTS: tinyBuild Reveals Physics-Based City Builder "ALL WILL FALL," Open Playtest Out Now on Steam

tinyBuild Announces Post-Apocalyptic, Physics-Based City Builder ALL WILL FALL, Coming to Steam in 2025

Create a towering colony above the ocean, manage a society of desperate survivors, and keep it all from falling apart with the game's first open playtest, playable now on Steam

SEATTLE – Jan. 22, 2025 – Video game publisher tinyBuild (Graveyard KeeperPotion CraftKingmakers) and developer All Parts Connected are thrilled to reveal ALL WILL FALL, an innovative new city builder launching in 2025 on PC via Steam that combines high-stakes survival colony sim management with pure physics-based pandemonium where every building can crumble under its weight. It’s like Jenga with human lives at stake!

In a flooded post-apocalyptic world, you’ll construct and govern humanity’s last bastion the only way that remains: up. Stack buildings carefully while keeping real-world construction factors in mind, manage the needs of your people, and make tough decisions to keep your society and the city itself from collapsing. With various unique maps, objectives, and challenges to discover, there are always new heights to be reached and new disasters to try to avoid.

Key Features

  • Master 3D Physics-Based Construction: Land is limited in this oceanic world. Stack buildings and create optimized production chains to grow your city to new heights in all three dimensions, but be mindful of real-world construction factors to ensure your precious structures won’t all come tumbling down!
  • Lead Your Colony: Manage the needs and wants of different factions in your city like Sailors, Engineers and Workers, each with unique traits. Review and implement policies, manage the workload to maximize the effectiveness of production facilities, and maintain a balance between the factions – or pick your favorites to unlock their true potential at the cost of others’ goodwill.
  • Make Tough Decisions: Will you shepherd humanity for the greater good? Or rule in terror as a tyrant? Be benevolent and try to care for everyone, or be strict and punish dissent forcefully. The choices – and the consequences – are yours.
  • A New Dawn for Humanity: Send out expeditions, face unique threats with each play session, unlock various scenarios and challenges, and create new colonies to establish humanity’s new home above the seas.

Dominykas Kiauleikis and Danas Matusevičius, developers of the game, have shared their excitement for the announcement in a joint statement: "With ALL WILL FALL, we set out to create a unique mix of physics, simulation, and management mechanics for city builder and strategy fans. We want the game to be accessible yet deep, allowing you to tinker with its many systems and ‘smash some toys together.’ Being a Lithuanian studio, we are also excited to bring a spotlight on our local game development scene. On behalf of our small yet passionate team, we hope you put ALL WILL FALL on your city builder radar!"

ALL WILL FALL's new open playtest is available now on Steam until January 31. Try the game, share your feedback with the developers, and add ALL WILL FALL to your wishlist. ALL WILL FALL is launching in 2025 on PC via Steam.

Xbox Developer Direct 2025 Recap: A Showcase Gamer's and Developers can Appreciate

The Xbox Developer Direct 2025 has just wrapped up, and it was an enjoyable experience that gamers and developers can appreciate. I love the intimate take from the developers' point of view, even if we understand that a developer would want to hype up their game for purchase. This Developer Direct contained enjoyable updates on previously revealed games and a surprise reveal. Gameplay reveals and insights from several developers knocked this fresh installment out of the park. Whether you're a gamer looking for the next big title or a developer seeking inspiration, this Xbox Developer Direct 2025 had something for both sides.

Ninja Gaiden 4: The surprise reveal of Ninja Gaiden 4 was a highlight of the event. This new entry in the classic franchise promises intense action and stunning visuals. The game introduces a new protagonist, Yakumo, a young ninja prodigy, while also featuring the legendary Ryu Hayabusa. The aerial acrobatic combat looks amazing, and as ninjas, Yakumo and Ryu Hayabusa need to be able to soar through the sky in thrilling fashion. Players can expect a mix of fast-paced combat, intricate level design, and challenging enemies that the series is known for. You can play Ninja Gaiden 4 on Xbox Game Pass this Fall of 2025, Xbox, PC, and PS5.

Doom: The Dark Ages: id Software took us on a journey through the dark and sinister world of Doom: The Dark Ages. This prequel to the critically acclaimed Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal is set to launch on May 15, 2025. The game delves into the origins of the Doom Slayer, exploring his early battles against the demonic forces. Players can expect intense combat, a gripping storyline, and the signature fast-paced action that the Doom series is known for. Get ready to step into the blood-stained boots of the Doom Slayer once again. Doom: The Dark Ages will be available on Xbox Game Pass, Xbox, PC, and PS5.

South of Midnight: Compulsion Games introduced us to South of Midnight, an amazing-looking third-person action-adventure game set in the American Deep South. The game's protagonist, Hazel, explores a darkly magical world inspired by Southern folklore. It's not a cheesy adventure; the story looks like it contains a nice amount of depth without following a familiar template. The combat looks challenging, with huge boss battles that have an almost stop-motion feel. Hazel, a young woman from the Deep South, discovers her magical abilities after a devastating hurricane hits her hometown. As a Weaver, she must confront and subdue dangerous creatures, untangle the webs of her own family's past, and restore the world devastated by the elements. The game features a unique art style, reminiscent of stop-motion films, and a blues-inspired soundtrack. South of Midnight launches on April 8, 2025 on Xbox Game Pass, Xbox, and PC. Sorry PlayStation owners, there was no information provided about the PS5 receiving this title.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33: Sandfall Interactive's beautiful debut RPG, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, captivated me with its gorgeous fantasy world and compelling story. The game is a turn-based RPG that transports players to a surrealist world inspired by France's La Belle Époque. As a member of the Expeditioners, players embark on an impossible quest to end the Paintress' cycle of death. The game features a unique mechanic called Pictos, which are modifiers tied to gear. After being used in four battles, they evolve into passive abilities called Lumina, allowing for crazy build opportunities. The game is set to release on April 24, 2025, and will be available on Xbox Game Pass, Xbox, PC, and PS5.

Overall, it's great to see all these titles headed to Xbox Game Pass, which increases the incentive of grabbing a subscription. If you don't have a console or PC, you don't need either. Just grab an Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and an Xbox controller, and you can play these games right on your TV!

A bundle is the quickest way to get the party started, which includes everything mentioned above.

To keep the party going, you'd save money if you get the 1-month Game Pass Ultimate memberships for $14.99 here, rather than $16.99 to $19.99.

If you haven't gamed in a while, or you have a special someone you'd like to give the gift of gaming to, this is the gift that keeps on giving. It also gives them access to free games through Prime Gaming if they have an Amazon Prime account! So brace yourself for these new games headed your way, including Ninja Gaiden 2 Black that's playable now, and game on!

Star Wars Outlaws: Is It Time to Give It Another Shot?

Ubisoft faced significant challenges with their open-world game, "Star Wars Outlaws," which launched in August 2024. The game received criticism for its combat and stealth mechanics, leading to disappointing sales and a drop in Ubisoft's stock. To address these issues, Ubisoft implemented several corrective measures:

  1. Bug Reporting Platform: Ubisoft introduced a dedicated bug reporting platform, allowing players to report issues directly and view ongoing fixes. This transparency helped build trust with the player community.

  2. Windows 11 Compatibility: The game experienced crashes due to compatibility issues with Windows 11. Ubisoft worked on a fix for the 24H2 update, advising players to roll back to the previous version in the meantime.

  3. Post-Launch Updates: Ubisoft released multiple updates to improve the game's mechanics and address player feedback. These updates included enhancements to combat and stealth systems, aiming to provide a more enjoyable experience.

  4. DLC Content: To reignite interest in the game, Ubisoft released post-launch DLCs, such as "Star Wars Outlaws: Wild Card" and "Star Wars Outlaws: A Pirate’s Fortune," featuring new storylines and characters.

Despite these efforts, "Star Wars Outlaws" continued to struggle in sales, being outsold by older titles like "Star Wars Jedi: Survivor". However, Ubisoft's commitment to addressing player concerns and improving the game demonstrated their dedication to delivering a better gaming experience.

For those who haven't played the game yet, it means a better experience and a 43% discount. However, the choice to try it is yours. Ubisoft should consider removing the complex setup options presented before the actual gameplay begins. Not everyone will understand them, and those who do can adjust settings as needed. Enjoy this First 30 and... Game on!
