Over Horizon X Steel Empire Bundle + Watch & Nab!

Shout out to the team over at ININ Games for supplying copies of this game bundle, my opinions are my own.

This Over Horizon X Steel Empire bundle is a blast from the past, serving up 1991's Over Horizon, 1992's Steel Empire, as well as 2004's Steel Empire.

In Over Horizon, you take off in your spaceship traversing through a number of bizarre worlds. With three different weapons which you can upgrade and combine, you will face a variety of bosses and enemies that will come your way.

I like the fact that you can edit your attack layout as far as where you place your secondary... gunners on the screen. What I wasn't crazy about was trying to move the ship around with the Switch analog stick in this game. I don't know what it is, but I wasn't crazy about the movement when it comes to this Over Horizon. Once you get the hang of it, it's not bad, but... Steel Empire is more so my cup of tea.

In Steel Empire you strap into the cockpit of a Striker Airplane or a Zeppelin to take on the Motorhead Empire, and to me it feels a bit more refined. It's understandable because the games came out later than Over Horizon. The movement is a lot smoother, the animations are better and you don't explode as soon as you're hit once (which varies by game). I did notice some lag issues, which is interesting and I will reach out to the dev team about that), and while I ran into a situation where I lost control of the ship... I blame it on the JoyCon connection (for now). Once I snapped the JoyCon back in... I was able to get back into the action, but I'll run this by the dev team also.

Similar to Over Horizon you also get secondary ships to assist you in battle based on the power ups you get. I love the arcade feel of this game, and the ability to break enemies down in segments. Not only do I appreciate the ININ Games team for sending over a code, but they also wanted to show some love to our audience by providing an additional code for an episode of... SDGT's Watch & Nab!

So... with that said, check out some gameplay (the video features Little Bear & ClemiPie) and if you're the first one to nab the game code, you will get a copy of this bundle for free!

Overall, no matter which title in the bundle you prefer more, they're both served up in this high flying bundle for... $14.99! I think you will enjoy it, and... it makes me wonder if ININ Games will consider developing a new Steel Empire title in the near future. Anyway, enjoy and... game on!

Amazon + Xbox is at it again with Bundles!

Not only did we get the announcement of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate being playable on Fire TV, but Amazon & Xbox are at it again... with bundles! Who would've thought this duo would ever be a thing?

For a limited time, you can get the new Prime Exclusive Bundles for a steal. The one that I recommend specifically... is the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max Bundle, which is $10 more than the standard Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K. I wouldn't tell you it's worth the $10 unless it's truly worth it, so here's why you should go Max:

  • Double the storage (at 16GB)
  • 4K UHD (at 60 fps)
  • Quad-core 2.0GHz Processor (850MHz GPU)
  • Faster performance, WiFi 6E Support
  • Fire TV Ambient Experience

The bundle also comes with a Carbon Black Xbox Core Wireless Controller + A Free Month of Game Pass (for New Members). Now... if you aren't a new member, sharing is caring. Hook up a friend who needs a little... cloud gaming in their life and tell em to game on!

You can get this bundle for $78.90 (or $14.58/month vs $119.98)! Let the good times take... control!

Speaking of control, you also have the option of getting a Shock Blue, Robot White, or Velocity Green for a similar price. If you want the (pretty) Deep Pink, Electric Volt, or the Pulse Red... just shell out a few more dollars at grab one for $81.90 to $82.90!
