🎉 FOR THE WIN: The Knight Witch 🎉

Hello Gamers, Parents of Gamers, and Juke‑Joint Dancing Legends that Game on the Side… are you in the mood for a kickass 2D game with depth? Yeah? Well, what about a free one? Yeah?!

Hahahahaha—that’s what I like to hear! Pull up a chair, grab your favorite snack, and let me walk you through one of the most magically chaotic indie titles I’ve played in a minute: The Knight Witch.

So What’s The Knight Witch All About?

Let me tell you... this game hits that sweet spot between “I’m a powerful spell‑slinging hero” and “why are there 900 bullets flying at my face right now?” You step into the boots of Rayne, a freshly awakened Knight Witch trying to protect her underground world from a mechanical invasion.

The whole thing blends twin‑stick shooting, Metroidvania exploration, and deck‑building magic. And yes, you heard me right... deck‑building. You literally craft your spell loadout like you’re building a magical Yu‑Gi‑Oh! hand, then blast your way through enemies with style.

The art? Hand‑drawn and gorgeous.

The pacing? Smooth like a fresh jar of honey peanut butter.

The challenge? Enough to make you lean forward in your chair.

 A Little Lore Sprinkle

One of my favorite things here is the whole Link Magic system. Your power comes from the trust and belief of the people around you. That means your strength is tied to how well you connect with the world.

It’s like being a superhero, a community leader, and a magical influencer all at once. And honestly? It works.

Gameplay That Hits Like a Confetti Cannon

Twin‑stick shooting? Check.

Metroidvania exploration? Check.

Deck‑building spells that let you customize your entire playstyle? Double check.

Whether you’re a “burn everything with fireballs” type or a “strategic support mage” who likes to play it smart, The Knight Witch gives you room to experiment. Boss fights are wild, enemy patterns are intense, and the movement feels buttery smooth as you dive into this great story.

And speaking of gameplay…

Now Let’s Talk About Winning This Game

Because this is "For The Win", I hid a 4‑letter code throughout the gameplay video. Gwahahaha

If you can piece that code together and email it to: 📧 ForTheWin@SdgtStudio.com

…by Monday, December 29, 2025 (8AM EST), you’ll have a chance to win a copy of The Knight Witch on PC.

First come, first serve, so if you snag one of the available codes... enjoy it, and most importantly… game on! I’ll see you on the other side, queue the music!

The Weird Dream: 2D Metroidvania Action starring a... Bunny!

The Weird Dream, seems to offer an intriguing blend of classic Metroidvania elements with its own unique twists. Featuring a chainsaw-wielding bunny protagonist adding a bizarre yet captivating charm to the game, which reminds me of F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch. As the narrative unfurls through fragmented storytelling and defeating over 40 bosses, players can expect a deep sense of achievement. With flexibility in character building and a focus on skillful play, the game encourages players to master the controls and develop their own approach to victory — a nod to the finely-tuned mechanics revered in games like Hollow Knight and Dead Cells.

The gameplay feels a little stiff at first, but you ultimately shrug it off because you don't get that feeling when it comes to combat. Adding updates could potentially refine the experience even further, so we hope the motivation the team got from games like Dead Cells brings updates over time to enhance the game post-release.

Don't sleep on the sound effects in this game. Good stuff. -  Blu

Engaging boss fights, expansive exploration, and a deep world built with hand-drawn comics are core features that provide a bit of substance for the gameplay experience — a combination that can be appealing to both fans of the genre, and anime fans.

The Weird Dream is has a lot of promise, and it's available for 15% off the $13.99 price tag. So grab it for a limited time for $11.89 and game on!
