Wishmas Guide 2025

This year... we wanted to deliver the Wishmas list a little differently, even though our goal every year is to try and present affordable + value. This year we want to lean in even further so that any money shelled out is something you can look at an appreciate for the positive impact it made (in one way or many others).

Amazon Gift Card – While this may seem as if a lot of thought wasn't put into it, it's actually a great option at this moment in time. This adaptable gift helps those who may have needs during this challenging economic window based on job loss, or just a need to cover the basics due to a rise in costs. Amazon has multiple options that cover needs that may include food (via Amazon Groceries), but also the wants the gift recipient may have. So this lands at the top of the list this year.

Multi-Tier Vertical Planter (indoor/outdoor) - Do you know someone with a green thumb or do you want to help someone shave down on costs by growing some of their favorite fruit, veggies, or herbs at home? This could be a great option, especially with the cost of produce going up based on a number of challenges. This is perfect for those who don't have the outdoor space or they have a patio at best, because it can fit on the patio or someone near the kitchen or dining area.

The upper tiers also water the lower tiers, so no need to worry about it being a complicated process. You can make this even more of a custom gift by providing them with seeds or fruit/vegetables that they do like and then they can start the growing journey from there. This is literally one of those gifts that keeps on giving at... $24.77 for the 5-tier option. Green thumb magic... in the... aiiirrrrrr!!!!!

This is a great gift for families, because everyone in the household can aid in keeping the plants alive and well, and the reward is food! Teaching kids how to grow and take care of plants is definitely a valuable skill.

Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max - This is a broken record gift, but... that's because it's a great all around gift when it comes to entertainment, and more. The Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max (for those who don't own a smart TV or what to expand the options of your Fire TV... in terms of streaming games) is a great option, especially if you have Amazon Prime.

You get Amazon Prime Video access, Amazon Music, Live TV, Amazon Luna (stream games free... like Fortnite and plenty of others), Xbox Game Pass (stream via a subscription), Amazon Luna +, games from your Ubisoft account + Ubisoft+, games from your GOG library, EA. You also get the Fire TV Ambient experience if you want to showcase digital art in a canvas like way on your telly, and this is the best option.

You will also open the door to GameNight on Luna for family and friends where you dive into casual gaming fun. You put the game controller to the side and use your cellphones instead... with up to 16 players for some of the titles. If that isn't a party, I don't know what is.

Of course you get other streaming options to use via this Fire TV stick, but regardless... it all points to money in the bank. If you can have free fun at home via a service you're already paying for, win!

If they're gamers... then you already know what it is, grab a bundle that comes with the controller!

Self-Care Basket - For the... Ladies, I think a self-care basket would really hit home this year. It's a great way to help them kick back, relax, and take a load off their minds in between the grind.

I can't forget about the Gents in this regards too. Often guys will try to push it to the limit and beyond, but we have to take a breather too (even if it's hard). Being able to practice self care helps with clarity, reduced stress, and the ability to get back into the game even stronger.

So this type of gift is a great to help the recipient collect themselves, especially if they're dealing with a lot right now.

Do you see where we're going with this Wishmas Guide yet? Let's continue!

Fact: For those who didn't know... in addition to Amazon Pharmacy, you can also use your FSA or HSA through Amazon for things like skin care products.

Home office set up: When it comes to other gift recipients, especially those who may be currently in pursuit of starting their own business or a work from home opportunity... helping them with office items could be a godsend. Nothing over the top, but an affordable desk is a great place to start. You can grab a 55" desk for $56.98... right now. If money's tight tight... there is a $17.99 option on-sale.

They can use a kitchen chair for now, unless you or someone else decides to get a complimentary gift by way of a comfy office chair.

One thing I do urge you to avoid when it comes to any office chair is one with a built-in massager. When it comes to the Sofetura Office Chair with the built-in massager... I don't mind having the built-in massager when I want to use it, but... that's a feature that they won't be using for the most part. It runs for 5, 10, and 15 minutes per session. An add-on massager is a much better option if anything at all, especially if the gift recipient plans to get in the zone and put in some serious work in that chair for hours on end.

You don't want the built-in tech poking them in the back, making them desire an option that's far more practical. While the pillow that comes included with this option helps pad it, it's not good enough, especially if they want to do the full recline and put their feet up and rest. The ability to do a full recline and lay back for some R&R is nice, but they won't be able to keep that pillow there comfortably. Adding a slim pad helps (but...).

I can't tell you what to do with your coin... but my review of this chair reveals that this is never the way to go for long term use. So if you had one of these in your sights, there are plenty of other options. Consider one that can hold a good amount of weight, ergonomic, with adequate padding.

Udemy - When it comes to the office setup, either the gift recipient is planning on working from home for a company or for themselves for one reason or another (that may include a recent layoff). If they're on the fence about going back to school... and it's for something they don't require a degree for or the debt that comes with it, hook them up with an affordable course?

The course will brush up their skills or teach them something entirely new that they'd be able to obtain a certificate from once its complete. This is yet another gift that keeps on giving because it can increase their value when it comes to companies or potential clients, and since we don't work for magic beans... that boosts the money they'd be able to earn. (Ka-Ching!)

By the way, if they're already in the groove or could use an updated version of Office... hook them up for less. A one-time purchase is a steal for you, without the need for them to sign up for a monthly Office 360 plan. Grab Microsoft Office 2024 Professional Plus for less than $20!

Car Phone Holders - There are some good car holders, and there are some really lousy ones. You will find some with the suction cups which can be cool... when they hold, and others that slide onto the vent. Those work, but you still find that they fall off. One that I think is a solid gift is the J-1 Phone Mount for $4.31. This particular option has an adjustable hook that you can extend according to how deep the hook needs to go in order to connect, and then you twist to tighten. The installation is super simple, and once it's on, you just sit the phone in the cradle and the sides close on the phone to hold it.

Since it's not flush with the vent the way some other mounts are, it doesn't block the buttons or the vent. Another plus is that you're able to rotate it with ease and the USB connects without the concern of it being blocked.

When you want to release the phone, you just squeeze the triggers you see behind the lower sides of the phone, and it will be released. If someone else uses the phone mount, let them know how to properly use it and that will increase the chances of it not being broken. A phone mount is always a worthwhile gift to increase their safety on the road... especially if they don't have one or a really crappy one. If it falls off... it needs to go (no joke).

The hook extends 3.0CM

Hook

Twist to tighten

Add the phone mount

Insert phone and get your roll on!

These are what you press to release the phone from the mount.

Suprent Cordless Hair Clippers - For the Gents who want to remain groomed up, faded + fresh... this is a great option so that they can shave down the costs even further. This is a great all around option that the household can use too if running to the barber isn't feasible right now. This is a gift that keeps on giving. The battery life is solid, and I haven't had to charge the clippers yet (I'm going on my 5th haircut).

I cut my hair low, not exactly a bald fade... but close to it. I've been able to cut my hair in half the time because of how sharp the blades are. Will they truly remain sharp for the long haul by way of the "self-sharpening blades" they allegedly have? We shall see, but I haven't had to pick up my other clippers yet.

You can grab these for 53%off right now, so if they needed clippers... these are available for $18.98! These feel really nice too, so don't think you're getting a raggedy option. I also appreciate the fact that these clippers don't overheat the way my other clippers do... so no need to adjust my hand due to the heat. 5 out of 5!

Digital Games - Prefer to gift that special someone a newer game while also saving some money? There are some great platforms like Loaded that allow you to get access to a set amount of stock for a great price. You can literally get the new Assetto Corsa Rally for $17.79, which is the 4th installment in the franchise... released on Nov. 13, 2025 on Steam!

You can buy the games through Loaded for any platform the digital game is available for, but if you're unsure... grab a gift card and call it a day. This will allow them to pick and chose games that may have caught their eye but they just didn't have the coin... and removes the need to find out what their specs are if they game on PC.

Regardless of the platform, there are deals for various games on PC, Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox, and more!

When it comes to Steam, those who saw that Horipad Steam controller once upon a time and thought it would be a cool buy... will be happy to know that the pro controller is on-sale. I'd say if that special someone needs a controller and they game on Steam, this could be a win! It's a rechargeable wireless pro controller that works with the PC & Steam Deck. You also get dedicated buttons for quick access to Steam menus, capacitive touch thumbsticks, programmable buttons, a gyro sensor, etc. The XInput is also available for Windows OS.

For the... Younglings, I certainly believe that they will benefit greatly from courses on platforms like Udemy (for kids). They don't expire and they get upgraded accordingly. It opens the door for them to learn new skills that aren't taught in school that could make a positive impact on their future.

This year, while you could just give them a toy... take inventory of what they already have. I can understand limited time collectors items, new STEM activities, and video games but... loading them up on toys that only add to a pile is a bit of a waste when the money could work for them. So... consider going affordable, creative, educational, and essential (clothes, shoes, etc.).

That said, there are book sets + courses that are worth adding to their gifts that are geared directly towards them. One of which is the Little Economist Box Set 1.

This box set includes:
  • Money
  • Spending Wisely
  • Credit Cards
  • Inflation
  • Supply & Demand

Like other items in this guide, this is certainly a gift that keeps on giving and is geared towards children ages 4 to 8 years old. It can even be a great gift for teachers, homeschool groups, and parents. Courses like The Complete Personal Finance for Kids and Teenagers, covers Financial Planning, Budgeting, Roth IRA's, taxes, interest rates, etc.

One that I don't want to forget about adding to this guide, are items that aid in physical exercise. It can be a soccer ball your children collectively play with, a basketballfootballjump ropesskates, etc. If they don't have any of these potential gifts and they're not dealing with challenges that would prevent them from using such items, then... it could be worth adding a few of these to their gifts line up. Not only do they add to the fun, but it decrease the chances of childhood obesity or aids in the fight against it. This is certainly no shade, but increasing the chances of better health is not bad either. It also gives you another activity to spend quality time with them as well. Consider the options in your area to better figure out what type of gift you'd get in terms of physical activity-based gifts.

If there are a bunch of smooth sidewalks all over the place, that would be awesome for skating. If you have a basketball court in the area, then consider taking that route, while a field could result in a number of routes that all lead back to fun.

Last but not least... I can't forget about experiences. This year, we suggest more family based activities to keep more coins in your pocket, but if you want to gift an experience... at least save with Groupon! Groupon is usually that website that people are aware of, but... it often gets forgotten no matter if you're able to save a significant amount on experiences, food, beauty & spas, etc.

On that note, it doesn't even have to be an experience, it can be a service on the lines of getting an oil change or brake pad replacements, etc. So regardless of the route you take, make a positive impact via a memorable gift... or save it for later.

The 2024 Wishmas Guide for... the Gents!

You know what time it is, time to show some love to the men in your life.
You won't find any socks or mugs in this guide. No No No... but you
will find some cool suggestions that are sure to knock it out of the park!

Men may not mention certain gifts they may like to receive this holiday season, but take a good look around because he may be getting by with something he superglued or duct taped. I understand wanting to make due with what you have, but it doesn't hurt to replace it when the time is right... especially when they need it. A fun gift would also make his heart smile, just aim to make it something that aligns with his favorite hobby to ensure that it's utilized often enough. So with that said, this guide will be aimed at fun + function.

 Headphones

Audio is a beautiful thing, especially with great music, games, and movies that deliver fantastic sound.

Here are 2 easy picks for headphones:

  • 1More Sonoflow Pro Headphones - These over-ear LDAC Hi-Res Bluetooth headphones offer exceptional comfort and an impressive 100-hour battery life. The QuietMax dual-feed ANC technology reduces external noise at 42dB, ensuring an immersive listening experience. A quick 5-minute charge provides hours of platime, perfect for music, gaming, and calls. These Bluetooth 5.4 headphones boast a premium look and come with a durable storage case for travel. Equipped with 40mm diamond-like carbon composite diaphragm drivers, an impedance of 32 Ohm, and a frequency of 20Hz - 40,000Hz, they deliver outstanding sound quality. Tuned by Grammy-winning sound engineer Luca Bignardi, your gents ears will thank you.

The 1More Sonoflow Pro (HQ51) is... $70.39 for a limited time!

  • 1More Open-Ear Wireless Earbuds S70 - While I love the Sonoflow Pro, I reserve those for use at home, the studio, and flights/long rides. On the go... I prefer the S70s! Also tuned by... Luca Bignardi, these earbuds sit comfortably on sensitive ears, and this is coming from someone who can barely wear hates if they press on my ears in the least. That said, your gent should have no problem wearing these throughout the day, and if he happens to doze off... comfort should remain on deck. This is thanks to the skin-friendly silicone crafted with aerospace-grade titanium design. You get up to 12 hours of playtime on a single charge with a case that provides... over a day's worth of additional battery life. The S70's have 4 AI ENC mics that reduce background noise for calls (which I use often), have an IPX5 water resistance, dual magnetic drivers with DiamondFlex diaphragms, an impedance of 16 Ohm, and a frequency range of 20Hz - 20,000Hz.

These Bluetooth 5.3 earbuds are... open ear, so he can hear the outside world. By the way, I've had no issues making calls while at the park with my daughter and the kids are yelling like crazy.

    The 1More Open-Ear Wireless Earbuds S70 are... $99.99!

 Men's Watches

There are a slew of watches out there (beautiful watches)… and while smartwatches will certainly be appreciated by some men who would put them to great use for health and productivity, others prefer a more traditional watch. So here are a list of watches we went back and forth on.

Here are 3 top picks for traditional watches and 3 smartwatch:

  • Fossil Nate Men's Watch - This is a beautiful watch, and happens to be in my cart, specifically the all black one. The $78 smoke colored option is nice, and that might be one to nab eventually, but the $104.16 black option is freaking... sweet. This looks great with a suit, biz casual, or even rocking an all black casual outfit.

The Fossil Nate Men's Watch is... $78.00.

  • Timex Men's Sierra 42mm Watch - This Timex model is an outdoor friendly watch rocking leather gray straps, a brass bezel, a clasp buckle, and pops of orange that give a subtle modern look. An orange crown would've been a perfect touch, but this is a watch you can trek with or attend a gala with.

The Timex Men's Sierra Watch is... $129.00.

  • Casio MDV106 Series Watch - The MDV106... is a nice watch. Affordable, not cheesy, but at the same time you can wear it to a meeting or a date. The face almost reminds me of a Bulova, minus the diamonds. I appreciate the screw down case back... just make sure to screw it down all the way. There are some watches that have the back case you have to pry off and there isn't always an indicator of where to actually get it off.

The Casio MDV106 Series Watch is... $45.17.

 + Smartwatches

The smartwatches below are based on quality and functionality with your gents health in mind. If there are health concerns the man in your life is dealing with, a good smartwatch is an easy win because that data can be utilized by the Doc and provide him reminders when needed for either his health, communication, and productivity. Plus... they look good. If you're wondering why no fitness bands were on the list this year, it's because they didn't exactly look the part for all day wear. If he's not going to work, on a date, or to an event... he probably will not want to look like he either went or just came from the gym. Just saying.

  • Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 - This smartwatch has a clean sporty look with the band, has a super AMOLED display, IP68 rating, and MIL-STD-810H U.S. certification (to cover activities and rugged jobs). You also have AI health tracking to cover daily activities and optimization for daily routines. You also get your heart rate tracking and sleep tracking, which is information that can help your Doc decide on whether you should have a sleep study done that can help you get a CPAP machine or some other solution.

You also get what you'd expect in regards to music streaming, the ability to respond to texts & calls, watch face designs, etc. That said, make sure to charge this during your daily down time... because it does require a daily charge (even if its fast). The battery is 425mAh compared to the 247mAh of the Galaxy Watch FE, but it has the exact same juice as the GW6 Classic. If you feel like he needs the LTE version, it's one to consider but... the more economical version is the Bluetooth.

It's not stuck with this particular silicone band if your gent wants to go from casual to formal. There are some nice no gap metal bands out there out there with the deployment clasp, as well as the leather options with the standard pin buckle.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 starts at... $239.99!

  • Amaztim Tank 2 (T2) Smart Watch - A fantastic and affordable alternative to the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 is the AMAZTIM Smart Watch. This smartwatch offers a range of impressive features at a budget-friendly price, making it a strong competitor in the market.

The Tank 2 features a robust design with a 1.43-inch AMOLED screen, providing vibrant and clear visuals. Its military-grade materials, including a titanium unibody and Corning Gorilla Glass, ensure durability and resistance to harsh conditions. This makes it an excellent choice for those who need a rugged and reliable smartwatch. The tank 2 is also MIL-STD-810H U.S. certified. If I were this indie brand, I would've tried to sponsor Tank Davis at some point in his career.

This smartwatch includes advanced health monitoring features such as 24-hour heart rate tracking, SpO2 measurement, and sleep monitoring. It supports up to 70 sports modes, with intelligent sports recognition for six activities, ensuring comprehensive fitness tracking.

One of the standout features of the Tank 2 is its exceptional battery life. It can last up to 60 days in power-saving mode and up to 2 weeks with regular use. This means you can enjoy all its features without worrying about frequent charging.

The Tank 2 also includes AI voice assistant capabilities and Bluetooth calling, allowing you to make and receive calls directly from the watch. It is 50M waterproof, making it suitable for swimming and other water activities.

The Amaztim Tank 2 Smart Watch is priced at... $88.39! Which easily makes it an affordable alternative to the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7, but what makes it even better is that there's a $26 coupon to bump that down even further! Let's dump even more sugar into this pot, because while it's always best to have a protection plan (3-years for $15.99 is the best)... this is not a frequently returned product.

The Tank 3 is a new addition to the Tank series and is arguably better, but that's going to run you $129.99!

    * If he's on a journey to improve his health, definitely consider a good multivitamin. Garden of Life Organics have gotten a lot of love. Made from organic whole foods, the goal of the company is to deliver a product free of synthetic binders and fillers.

 Grooming

If you didn't know, the grooming game is well underway for a number of gents. Others have to catch up to an extent, but that's where you come in to... get them together. Nothing wrong with looking good and smelling good when we aren't getting our hands dirty. So here are some grooming products that he should appreciate.

  • Rich - There are some men who were representing well, but when Rick Ross really started to flex his beard, there are a number of guys who wanted in... bad. Luckily for the gents out there who want a way to dive deeper into their beard journey, Ross partnered with Richard's Hair Care to create Rich Luxury beard brand. I think this brand is great for someone who has already got their beard underway with beard oils, conditioners, de-frizz, and more. The Travel in Luxury gift set has the argan oil elixir, moisture shampoo, and conditioner. If Ross' beard is a full grown lion, mine is a... cub, but there are other options if he wants growth.

The Rich Travel in Luxury gift set is... $16.99 + 10% Off!

  • The Beard Club - NBA Pro James Harden & Bryan Welfel have an option for your gent... if he wants growth. The Beard Club contains lots of great affordable options, including a gift set that includes a derma roller, beard growth oil, sandalwood beard balm, and a beard comb for $23.99. These products natural products are vegetarian, gluten free, and cruelty free.

So if he's currently fighting a lack of growth, give him a boost with some help from... the Beard Club.

  • Manicure Set - These don't always come to mind, but a manicure set is great for home or travel to keep your gent clean without those unidentified clumps of... stuff under his nails. Great stocking stuff at... $4.96!

  • 360 Electric Shavers - These 360 shavers give your gent the ability to shave his head, face, or place one of the other attachments on for the sake of cleaning up his edges. The results are a nice clean shave and nearly all of these options are rechargeable for a quick grab, shave, and go. Options range from $24.99+.

He should be good to go with a generic option in this category, just don't go ultra cheap... and make sure to get one that can use various replacement heads regardless of the brand. Don't stick him with an option that has brand specific heads because it's not as cost friendly (usually).

The option you see here is a Telfun 5 in 1 shaver that resembles the Freebird, but... it's $29.99!

  • Herb'N Eden - Looking the part isn't the only stop. Get your gent so fresh so clean with Herb'N Eden. This 5 soap set that works well for men & women, works well for dry skin, sensitive skin, oily skin, etc. It doesn't serve up phthalates, SLS, parabens, synthetic fragrances, sulfates, or harsh chemicals.

The soap options consist of... lemongrass & patchouli, oatmeal honey, activated charcoal, South African lavender, tea tree & turmeric, cedarwood & sea clay, deem & chlorella, 420 citrus hemp, rosemary lavender, rosewater kefir & lavender, and... grapefruit & Himalayan pink salt options!

The 5 pack is available for... $9.99, you have a men's pack, a women's pack, and the top sellers!

  • Cologne - While it can be a challenge to give suggestions for cologne, we can all agree that being fresh and clean is the best way for your gent to be ahead of applying any fragrance. Funk & Fragrance just don't mix, and heavy cologne is a little too much especially when it's laid on thick. On that note, if your gent is known to spray the same areas 3+ times, then a lighter cologne is the way to go. For everyone else, it merely boils down to preference. You have the fresh & clean options that I prefer... aquatic and citrus, woody & earthy, spicy & warm (spicy and oriental), floral & sweet (floral and gourmand), aromatic & herbal.

 Fashion

Not telling you to dress the men in your life, but... contributing to their wardrobe isn't a bad idea. If they usually wear a certain color or you have an idea of what would really pop with the color's they generally gravitate towards, consider the item types below:

  • Men's Casual Bomber Jacket is a perfect addition to most wardrobes, because it's not extreme casual, and adds a nice touch if he wants to dress up a little without pulling out a dress shirt and slacks. Perfect for a chilly day or even on those nights when things are cooler.

This option comes in over 10 colors, but the brown, black, white, dark grey, coffee, and army green feel give a bit more sophistication in my opinion. The other colors are cool, but the colors like... turmeric, would more so swing deeper into the direction of casual in my opinion despite the style of the jacket. Nothing wrong with it, especially if he styles it right, but it all depends on his style or if you'd like to add something to his wardrobe that would be great for a date night to a nice restaurant. The navy and royal blue options aren't a bad middle ground either. Sizes range from small to 2X. Now $49.98!

If you prefer to gift a varsity jacket that's more so... Hip Hop inspired, this option from Screenshot might be a great addition to his closet. They range from small to 3X. Ready to pair with some fresh sneakers or boots.

There are plenty of other options, but keep look and function in mind. Both options you see here are padded to help fight the chill, while looking good at the same time.

  • Sunglasses - These are an easy win on the stocking stuffer side, just go with his style or what you feel may look good on him.

Aviators, sport, and the classic square or rectangular usually get the job done well. If he's more of a casual kind of guy, definitely rectangular.

If he's big on fishing or something else related to outdoor activities, then the sport sunglasses may hit the spot.

Aviator's work with casual, but (to me)... these glasses work well for those who like to give their outfit a second thought before they take on the day. Solid choice for business casual as well as formal wear.

 Gaming

Did we save the best for last or... did we save the best for last? If you're here, chances are your gent also gets his game on. But if you're not sure what genre is his go-to, just... look around. Before we get to the top 10 titles, we can't forget about the sports game fans. If he plays sports games, just look for an old copy of a game that he owns and get him the latest version if he doesn't skip versions (i.e. NBA 2K, Madden, EA Sports FC).

* We recommend skipping it if you don't see copies of the game year after year in his collection, because... this would indicate that he likes to get his worth long term.

This console starts at... $549 if you want an OLED version. This system will have access to new games long after the Nintendo Switch.

  5. Amazon Fire Stick 4K Max: A streaming device that supports 4K Ultra HD, HDR, and Dolby Vision, with Wi-Fi 6E for faster and more stable streaming. It also allows you to play Xbox games via cloud gaming with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Amazon Luna, GOG, and Ubisoft.

This is one of the most affordable options that removes the need for a console or a pc. The only thing you need is a game controller to connect via Bluetooth or the Luna controller that connects via Wi-Fi to jump right in. No downloads required, just have a good connection. Another plus is for the Prime members, because you can play free games, so your gent would always have something to play without any additional fees (with Luna basic). If you get the bundle, you're basically paying $20 more to get the controller... instead of paying $59.99 for the Fire TV Stick 4K Max alone.

This screen gives you ability to remap buttons, the joysticks, triggers, vibration, adjust RGB lights, and select which device you wish to play (i.e. PC, Switch, Android, and iOS).

This rechargeable controller also comes with a charging dock for $69.99!
