Now for my thoughts

I haven't played Gungrave in... decades, so it was awesome to see this game announced. That said, check out the gameplay below and I'll give my thoughts after.

Now that you've checked out the gameplay, I have to say that they could've made it feel a bit more modern as far as gameplay is concerned. Yes, you can unlock moves and all that good stuff, but this game is chockful of repetition that different moves won't exactly make a difference for. The character is also stiff, possibly stiffer than in the past... but I shrugged it off (but I may be mixing that game up with Rising Zan: The Samurai Gunman).

In terms of Gungrave G.O.R.E, this game could have been a lot better. Nothing wrong with some linear areas, especially in terms of some city areas, but (jeez)... there could've been more of an open environment where you ultimately make your way to target locations. Every game doesn't have to be open-world, but this is waaaaayyyyy too linear and doesn't flow as quickly as it could to fit the more arcade feel that they may have been after here. It should be looser to dial up the arcade fun but to be fair... I haven't checked out all the upgrades in order to know what's fully possible.
