Get ready for battle with Lieutenant Titus and his battle-brothers Chairon and Gadriel. These are the three playable characters of a fully co-op-enabled campaign, while custom-made Space Marine characters are playable in PvE missions and PvP battles across various modes—just a taste of all the carnage that awaits.

COLOGNE, Germany – Aug. 20, 2024 – Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive have unveiled a thrilling new trailer for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 at Gamescom Opening Night Live. As a long-time fan of the series, I couldn’t wait to check it out.

Personal Experience with Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine

I played the original Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine extensively, enjoying the main campaign’s rewarding journey of mowing down aliens with both ranged and melee weaponry... from beginning to end. The PvP multiplayer was okay, but the main campaign was my favorite. It’s been over a decade since the first installment, and I’m excited to dive into this long-awaited sequel. (Time has flown by.)

Game Features and Modes

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 invites players to embody the titular supersoldiers in all their brutality and glory across single-player, co-op, and competitive multiplayer modes. Players will face horrors from beyond the stars as the full weight of Warhammer 40,000’s galactic warfare descends on a single star system. The combat is a grand spectacle, combining fluid movement and lightning reflexes with massive weaponry and overwhelming power.

Co-op and PvP Gameplay

Players can take on swarms of alien creatures, otherworldly daemons, and corrupted traitors to the Imperium in a co-op-enabled campaign as Titus and his battle-brothers Chairon and Gadriel. Additionally, specific PvE missions and PvP battles allow players to customize and upgrade six unique classes of Space Marines.

PARIS – June 7, 2024 – Today Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive revealed a new trailer to celebrate Summer Game Fest and the upcoming release of the highly-anticipated Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. This new video shows off never-before-seen gameplay and teases the upcoming Gameplay Overview Trailer, a deep dive into the game’s mechanics, which will go live on Focus’ YouTube channel on June 20. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 releases Sept. 9, 2024, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Embody the superhuman skills and brutality of a Space Marine

Fight as one of the Emperor’s greatest warriors and defend the Imperium against the horrors of the galaxy. Drive back the everlasting night in epic battles on far-flung planets with your deadly abilities and devastating weaponry. These replayable modes also feature a customization system, allowing players to outfit their Space Marines from helm to greaves, thanks to a wide choice of colors, heraldry decals, pauldrons, gauntlets, and more. PARIS – May 23, 2024 – Today Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive premiered a new trailer for the highly anticipated third-person action game Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, revealing a whole new PvE experience and the return of the beloved PvP mode from the first game. Unveiled during the Warhammer Skulls Festival live stream, this trailer also marks the opening of digital pre-orders on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam and the Epic Games Store ahead of the game’s release on September 9, in addition to already-available retail pre-orders.

A brand-new three-player co-op mode and the return of PvP

Old and new fans alike are in for a multiplayer treat! In addition to bringing back Space Marine’s iconic battle against the Chaos Space Marines in three 6v6 PvP modes (Annihilation, Seize Ground, and Capture & Control), Space Marine 2 features an all-new co-op mode, letting you slay xenos with up to two friends in three-player “Operations Mode.” Each PvE and PvP mode lets players choose between six available classes, ranging from the unflinching Bulwark and his Combat Shield, to the stealthy Sniper with his Camo Cloak.

Players will also be able to customize their Space Marines, from helm to greaves, with a wide selection of colors, heraldry decals, pauldrons, gauntlets, and more! While new content like missions, enemies, and weapons will be available to all players through regular free updates, the Season Pass will grant even more cosmetics.
