tinyBuild and Questing Goose Studio have opened the doors to Probably Stolen, a cyberpunk shopkeeping simulator that launched on Steam October 28. Set on a dystopian space station, the game puts players behind a counter where every deal can bring profit, suspicion or trouble.
Players manage and stock a storefront while trying to keep up with rent that rises over time. Goods can attract different buyers and risks: weapons may draw inspections, contraband can trigger raids, and suspicious customers could be security agents, criminals or AI-augmented impostors. Players can approve a sale, refuse it, report a visitor or look the other way.
Choosing a shop specialty shapes the challenge, from weapons and chemicals to water, farming or fencing. Players inspect goods, weigh each customer’s intentions and build ties with competing factions for better deals. A bad purchase or illegal bust can sink the business, while ignoring rent can put the whole shop at risk.
The Steam release is priced at $19.99, with a 10% launch discount available for a limited time. The developers say the game’s Steam Next Fest demo drew more than 660,000 players and peaked at nearly 40,000 concurrent players during the event.
