Where Winds Meet Opens Qingzhou with a New Sect, Ribbon Drum Weapon and World Bosses
NetEase Games and Everstone Studio have announced that Where Winds Meet expands eastward with Qingzhou on October 15, 2026. The open-world Wuxia action RPG’s first Theme Region brings mountain paths and coastal landscapes together with a new sect, an unconventional support weapon, and encounters in which wisdom can matter as much as martial strength.
Mountains, Coastline and a Second Destination
The journey begins at Eastern Peak, with pine-covered mountain trails leading toward the broad mudflats where the Yellow River meets the ocean. The region draws on Confucian thought and emphasizes welcoming communities, with locals who can guide travelers and join a fight when danger appears.
Qingzhou’s rollout continues on October 29, when the mist-covered island of Penglai opens with seafront academies and additional stories across the sea.
The Inkbound Order Turns Words into Weapons
The new Inkbound Order sect values debate, art and music as ways of resolving conflict. Its A Duel of Wits activity is a card-based PvP debate arena where proverbs and verbal tactics attack an opponent’s composure instead of their health bar.
Players can retain their current sect while learning as guest scholars. Academy activities also include timed Assistant Invigilator challenges to catch cheating students, alongside Farm Recess events.
A New Rhythm in Combat
The Ribbon Drum blends martial arts with theatrical movement and court dance. Ribbons can strike and bind enemies, applying Knockback and Silence, while drumbeats provide combat buffs to teammates.
Three Regional World Bosses
- Tidewatcher: A bamboo-stilt fighter using operatic music and flower-spear techniques.
- Old Raftsman: A river traveler whose resilient staff style draws on guiding timber rafts.
- Zhu Yinghan: The Dragonfall Camp leader, bringing high-speed shuttlecock skills into battle.
