🔥Top 5 Games That Had Us Yelling at the Screen (In a Good Way)

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection Capcom’s beloved turn-based spin-off returns with a vengeance. This time, you’re not just bonding with monsters—you’re riding a Rathalos into a full-blown war between kingdoms. The story dives into environmental collapse and ancient prophecy, with a mysterious egg that might hatch something world-ending. It’s Monster Hunter meets Game of Thrones, but with scales, claws, and a whole lot of heart. Coming 2026 to Switch 2 and other platforms.

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales Square Enix is flexing its HD-2D muscles again, but this one’s an action-RPG with real-time combat and seven weapon types. You play as Elliot, a stylish adventurer with immaculate hair and a fairy sidekick named Faie. Together, they explore time-warped ruins and uncover ancient secrets. Bonus: Faie can be controlled by a second player for co-op chaos. Demo’s out now, and the full game lands in 2026. The demo is available now.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment This surprise entry in the Warriors franchise dives deep into Zelda lore, telling the canonical story of the Imprisoning War—the events that led to Tears of the Kingdom. You’ll battle as Princess Zelda, King Rauru, and other legends in massive hack-and-slash combat. Partner attacks, mysterious Constructs, and a cryptic teaser involving Fi’s theme have fans theorizing like it’s finals week in Hyrule History class. Launching Winter 2025 exclusively on Switch 2.

Cronos: The New Dawn Bloober Team’s twisted sci-fi survival horror drops you into a post-apocalyptic future where time travel is your only hope. You’re a Traveler sent back to 1980s Poland to harvest souls and survive mutated horrors. The game blends Dead Space vibes with psychological dread, crafting ammo from scraps and burning bodies before they merge into stronger monsters. It’s brutal, brilliant, and launching September 5, 2025.

Borderlands 4 Gearbox is back with more loot, more chaos, and a new planet—Kairos. Expect explosive combat, ridiculous weapons, and a storyline that’s somehow even wilder than before. The trailer teased new Vault Hunters, upgraded co-op mechanics, and a villain who looks like they eat sarcasm for breakfast. Borderlands 4 hits Switch 2 on October 3, 2025.

Honorable mentions go to Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac, Persona 3 Reload, and Octopath Traveler 0, which all made solid impressions but didn’t quite steal the spotlight from the top five.

🛑 Parental PSA  The screen of the console is positioned near the top of the Nintendo Switch 2 box, just under the lid (as seen in this unboxing). So if you’re stacking gifts—beware. Moisture, pressure, heat, and punctures could turn the shiny new console into a very expensive repair bill.

This Direct may not have dropped a new Mario adventure, but we know its coming.

Tech This Out: 3 Good 2-Way Dash Cams for Ultimate Security! + Rideshare "Secure Ride"?

In a world where split-second decisions on the road can make or break your day, having a dash cam that records both inside and out isn’t just nice-to-have—it’s peace of mind on a memory card when you aren't using a service. Whether you’re an everyday commuter or a rideshare pro, two-way recording covers vital angles.

 Three Standouts in Dual-Channel Protection

For the Average Driver: Proof When You Need It

Imagine cruising down the highway when a tailgater suddenly swerves into your lane. Without evidence, you’re stuck in a you-said-they-said scenario and insurance scams are real! With a two-way cam, you not only capture the culprit’s license plate and reckless maneuvers, but also your own car’s interior—proving you weren’t distracted or speeding.

That crystal-clear footage can be the difference between paying a deductible or walking away financially unscathed. In insurance disputes or traffic court, having unedited video from both cameras rewrites the narrative in your favor. No more finger-pointing—just irrefutable proof... of what really went down.

The Rideshare Shield: Drivers and Passengers Covered

Rideshare life comes with its own set of variables. One moment you’re on a smooth trip, the next you’re dodging aggressive drivers or dealing with unruly passengers. A two-way dash cam acts like a digital witness, logging every interaction in the cabin and on the road.

  • Protect yourself against reckless drivers who cut you off, run red lights, or weave through traffic.
  • Document disrespectful or dangerous passenger behavior—preventing false allegations or verbal you-said-they-said. On the flipside, it would help riders too (see below).
  • Evidence can also be used to pluck reckless rideshare riders as well, because if they're willing to risk their life on the road a passenger's safety is on the line.

 Implementing a “Secure Ride” Feature

Here’s a game-changer: what if your rideshare app offered a “Secure Ride” option? Partnering with camera makers, companies could subsidize or give free dash cams to drivers—and top-off fares with a $3 incentive per "Secure Ride" that goes... directly to drivers, not the platform.

Passengers can opt into “Secure Ride” while ordering the rideshare. The cameras record only while the ride is active and automatically stops when the ride is completed. No one’s forced to live under constant surveillance, but people are usually on their best behavior when the camera is rolling.

  • Women may find solace in the option being available.
  • Parents can breathe easier when teens need a ride.
  • Adults could use this option for inebriated friends who need to get home safely.
  • Family might enjoy this option for their elderly loved ones seeking transport.

Despite "Secure Ride" not being selected, an emergency mode could kick in if a crash, assault, or heated argument is detected—capturing those critical moments before, during, and after an incident. This not only deters misconduct but also slashes potential lawsuits for platforms like... Uber and Lyft, reinforcing trust in the companies to a degree.

Two-way dash cams aren’t just gadgets; they’re your advocate on the asphalt. From everyday commuters to full-time rideshare drivers, these cameras turn chaos into clarity—one secure ride at a time. Should rideshare companies consider a "Secure Ride" option? I think so, especially when you think about reported sexual assaults and attacks. Regardless of what companies do, drivers are better off with dash cams because its the investment that keeps on giving. Tech to the rescue!

1More TWS Earphone Q21... Reviewed!

The 1More TWS Earphone Q21 tries to punch above its weight in the budget earbud category, offering a suite of nice specs that rival more expensive models on paper. With Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification, LDAC support, and QuietMax™ ANC, it’s clear these earbuds weren’t designed to just meet expectations—they aim to exceed them. Do they though? Well... lets jump in and find out (after this unboxing):

 Tech Specs at a Glance

  • Driver: 12mm titanium-coated dynamic
  • Bluetooth: Version 5.4 with AAC & LDAC codec support | Range up to 33 feet
  • Waterproof Rating: IPX5 (resistant to sweat and light rain)
  • Battery Life: 5.5 hours with ANC off, 4 hours with ANC on, up to 22 hours total with the case
  • Noise Cancellation: QuietMax™ active noise cancellation plus Transparency Mode
  • App Features: Includes 6 EQ presets, gaming mode, and multipoint device connection
  • Controls: Touch-sensitive and customizable via companion app
  • Fit: Comes with three sets of silicone ear tips for a personalized fit

While not marathon-level on their own, the battery is enough for daily use with the case. You can get through commutes, binge sessions of tv-shows + a thorough gameplay session.

You will find a USB-C port at the bottom of the pocket friendly charging case, but it's a BYOC option, meaning "Bring your own cable". Not including a USB-C cable was likely a decision made to keep the cost down to present better quality, and if you have several including the one you charge your phone with, it's no big deal. By the way, I've been using port covers nowadays to keep dust and lint out of my device ports which can affect charging because it covers the connectors that need proper contact to charge accordingly.

 Comfort & Fit
The Q21’s diagonal stem design paired with oval silicone tips offers a snug fit that’s surprisingly resilient.

  • Tilt your head at a 45° angle? They stay put.
  • Lean toward your shoulder? They may loosen slightly and fall out eventually.
  • Lounging, gaming, vibing to ASMR? You’re golden—they remain secure.

To maximize comfort and retention, use the right-sized ear tips. This not only improves the seal for better sound and ANC but also helps the earbuds nestle deeper into the ear canal without pressure.

 Use Case Versatility
Whether you're gaming, watching a series, or zoning out to ambient soundscapes, the Q21 adapts. The low-latency mode ensures audio sync during gameplay, and the ANC filters out distractions without sounding metallic or artificial.

 Quality for the Price
At around $40, the Q21 delivers a surprisingly rich and spacious soundstage for the most part. Bass is punchy with the right content... but I still found myself turning the volume up to bring it out more. Then there are times where a Youtuber's content played intro music and the Bass was full. Mids are warm, and vocals come through with ease + clarity (ASMR knocks it out of the freaking park). Before I move forward, I have to say that the LDAC support helps deliver that hi-res audio for Android users... so you will find that you get even more oomph compared to a device that doesn't support it. It really depends on whether your bluetooth adapter supports it and whether the drivers are updated. Right out of the box, your Android phone should be good to go (with Android 8.0 or later).

By the way, when it comes to noise cancelling, the 1More Q21's do their job well. When it comes to calls, you will be able to make nice clear calls with the 4-mic AI noise cancellation. Noise won't be reduced to 0%, but the softer background noise in my office was cut down by 60% or so.

Audio experiences

  • Dr. Dre - The Watcher
  • Blu39 - Florida
  • Tingting ASMR
  • Ghost of Yōtei showcase
  • Karate Kid: Legends
  • Lupen the 3rd vs. Cat's Eye
  • Tougen Anki
  • Marvel Snap
  • Dragon Age: The Veilguard
  • Eternal Strands
  • Wuchang: Fallen Feathers

The 1More Q21 is a nice budget pair of earbuds that are a little shy when it comes to bringing the boom—but for the most part they're a well-rounded audio companion that blends comfort, clarity, and customization. So if you're looking for something that doesn't break the bank, they're worth considering.
