Fading Echo Is a Stylish Action-Adventure With Some Serious Splatoon Vibes!

Some games catch your attention before you even know exactly what they are. Fading Echo is one of those games.

Developed by Emeteria and published by New Tales, Fading Echo is a fast-paced action-adventure RPG starring One, a young Legend trying to stop the Paradox corruption from consuming her world. It launched on July 21, 2026 for PC and is available through Epic Games Store and Steam for $19.99.

 Is this just like Splatoon?

No, this isn't Splatoon with a different name. But between the bright colors, fluid movement, stylish character designs, and the way liquids become part of both traversal and combat, it's easy to see why Fading Echo may catch the eye of Splatoon fans.

Water is actually one of One's main abilities. She can transform into a living sphere of water, surf through pipes, squeeze through small openings, launch water attacks, and combine water with environmental elements such as lava and toxic waste to create chain reactions. Observe:

One is a little more dangerous than a Super Soaker.

The adventure also takes place across fractured versions of the world of Corel. Moving between realities can change resources, hazards, and even how encounters work, giving players another wrinkle to consider while exploring and fighting.

For players who enjoy colorful 3D adventures, elemental abilities, platforming, and fast combat, Fading Echo looks like one worth putting on the radar—especially at its $19.99 asking price. Fading Echo is headed to consoles later this year.
