Affordable Family Game Night Just Got Eggstreme: Enter the World of Ponpu!

Game loving snack hoarders + couch co-op champions! If your idea of family fun gaming involves explosions, ducks, and yelling “WHO BLEW ME UP?!” across the living room... then Ponpu might just be your new favorite chaos generator. This game is better for families with teen gamers.

Imagine Bomberman got dunked in a vat of neon paint, handed a toilet plunger, and told to save the universe from an evil Duck God. That’s Ponpu—a frantic, feather-flinging, bomb-dropping multiplayer party game that’s equal parts strategy and absurdity.

Released in November 2020 by Purple Tree Studio and published by Zordix, Ponpu is available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. And right now, it’s just $2.24 on the Nintendo eShop. That’s cheaper than a gas station sandwich and infinitely more fun. If you have a Steam Deck, you can connect that to your telly and jump into Ponpu for $1.49! Sure... it's on Xbox + Playstation, but for affordable fun that you can jump into tonight, you can't be these two options! Not to mention the fact that you can save the rest of the money for snacks!

 Ponpu's Multiplayer Modes... of Mayhem!

Up to 4 players can battle it out locally in Ponpu’s couch co-op mode—no internet required, just snacks, controllers, and a healthy dose of sibling rivalry. But the chaos doesn’t stop there:

Online Multiplayer: Take the madness global and challenge players worldwide.

Deathmatch: Classic free-for-all bomb-dropping mayhem. Last duck standing wins.

Team Deathmatch: Pair up and strategize—because two ducks are better than one.

Coin Chase: Grab coins, dodge explosions, betray your friends. It’s fine. They’ll forgive you.

Capture the Flag: Steal the enemy’s flag and waddle it back to victory.

And yes, there’s a single-player campaign too—for those who prefer solo duck-splosions and boss battles with a side of sarcasm.

Art Style That Pops: Hand-drawn, black-and-white visuals with splashes of color make it look like a comic book exploded. In a good way.

So grab your teens, some good food, and... game on!
