tinyBuild celebrates 15 years as a publisher with new games, news for hotly anticipated titles and updates to fan-favorite franchises

SEATTLE -- SEPT. 14, 2026 -- During today’s tinyBuild Connect showcase, tinyBuild debuted new trailers and announcements for 16 titles in its catalog, headlined by a 10-minute deep dive video for Kingmakers, plus the reveals of the new horror title Road to Jukai and roguelite autobattler kingdom builder with claws The Crab is Walking. Other major updates included a brand-new demo for the most inaccurate medieval cemetery simulator, Graveyard Keeper 2, a new story trailer for the upcoming handyman simulator The Lift, a look at the future of SAND: Raiders of Sophie and more.

Kingmakers Gameplay Deep Dive

tinyBuild gave the closest look yet at Kingmakers, the game that sets out to answer one of life's greatest questions: What would happen if you brought a modern arsenal to a medieval battlefield? Travel back to 1403 to help Owain Glyndŵ transform a Welsh rebellion into an empire. This gameplay deep dive includes a look at the title's third-person combat, story, and RTS mechanics, playable solo or in co-op for up to four players. Jump into massive third-person combat scenarios where you (and your arsenal of guns, vehicles and air support from the future) are the deciding factor for battles. Take control of massive armies as you siege castles, build up outposts and defend your own territory in RTS-style combat. Kingmakers is launching into Steam Early Access soon, and players can sign up for the upcoming playtest on Steam now.

Highlights from tinyBuild Connect 2026

• New Game! tinyBuild announced The Crab is Walking, a roguelite kingdom builder and autobattler set atop giant crustaceans from the makers of The King is Watching. Merge buildings, unlock upgrades, and reshape your settlement as you traverse a post-apocalyptic wasteland.
   
• New Game! Playable! tinyBuild revealed a new publishing deal for Road to Jukai, previously known as Silent Road, a psychological night-shift taxi driving horror game set in Japan and coming in 2027. Try out the game in the new playtest, available now on Steam!
   
• The King is Watching revealed a new update adding Steam Deck optimization to the roguelite kingdom building strategy game, available now. Check out the trailer!
   
• The nostalgic electronics repair game ReStory is celebrating 500k copies sold with a new accolades trailer announcing upcoming content, including a new device and a new customer in a free update coming September 21.
   
• Playable! Dinosaur survival FPS Ferocious launched on XBOX Series X|S and PlayStation 5!
   
• Get a new look at supernatural handyman simulator The Lift with the premiere of a brand-new story trailer, taking a deeper look at The Institute and offering more cryptic clues for the game's storyline. The Lift is launching in 2027 on Steam, PS5, and XBOX Series X|S.
   
• Playable! tinyBuild announced that the acclaimed home renovation game Hozy is coming to XBOX Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch later this year. The free "Hideaways" DLC, featuring three new levels, is also available now on Steam! 
   
• Badass Open-world survival game Trainfort got a new trailer revealing a new upcoming playtest. Players can sign up for it now on Steam.
   
• Playable! tinyBuild announced a new anniversary update for the strategic planet-mining game Drill Core, adding quality-of-life improvements and more, now on Steam, XBOX Series X|S, and PS5.
   
• SAND: Raiders of Sophie celebrated its successful launch on Steam Early Access earlier this year with a new accolades trailer and announced a major new content update dropping later this month.
   
• Playable! Two new restaurants and Trial by Fryer, a new team-based PvP mode, have been added to the co-op cooking horror game Happy’s Humble Burger Cult, available now on Steam! Face off against the enemy team in a surreal cooking show, sabotage their kitchen, fight for ingredients, and become the best team of chefs in Trial by Fryer.
   
• Playable! A November 4 launch date was announced for Hull Rupture, the base management tower defense roguelike from Konfa Games. Try out the updated demo now on Steam!
   
• Playable! A new trailer dropped for the cyberpunk shop simulator Probably Stolen, revealing an October 28 launch date and brand-new demo, playable now on Steam!
   
• Of Ash and Steel, the open-world RPG inspired by the classics of the genre, is coming to XBOX Series X|S and PlayStation 5 soon. A new expansion - "Shattered Faith" - is also in development, bringing true magic to the Kingdom of the Seven.
   
• Playable! tinyBuild released a brand-new demo on PC and consoles for the accurately inaccurate cemetery simulator Graveyard Keeper 2, launching September 22 on PC and consoles! Play the demo now with all progress carrying over to the game at launch!

Duck Side of the Moon: A Cozy Little Adventure That’s Out of This World

Sometimes I want a game that gives me an adventure without making me feel like I’ve signed up for a second job. 😄 Duck Side of the Moon looks like it could fit nicely into that space, especially for cozy gamers who enjoy exploring, crafting, and gradually improving their little corner of a game world.

And yes, you’re a ducky in space. A cute ducky! I feel like that already deserves a few points.

 A Duck With a Spaceship? Okay, I’m Listening! 

Rather than building its appeal around nonstop combat or high-pressure challenges, Duck Side of the Moon is a casual adventure that gives you things to work toward at your own pace. You can explore, craft useful gadgets, gather what you need, and upgrade your spaceship as your journey continues.

That progression is part of what could make it so easy to settle into. There’s always another improvement to make or something else to discover, but the overall concept feels much more inviting than intimidating.

For cozy players, I think that matters. A cozy game doesn’t necessarily have to be about farming flowers or decorating a cute house. Sometimes the cozy part comes from having an enjoyable routine, making steady progress, and being able to explore without every five seconds turning into an emergency. The only thing that creeps me out is the meteor with the huge teeth.

 Cozy Gaming Can Go to Space Too 

There’s also something wonderfully silly about seeing an ordinary duck placed into a not-so-ordinary situation. You're not hanging around the pond anymore. You have a spaceship to worry about!

The combination of casual exploration, crafting, gadgets, and spaceship upgrades gives Duck Side of the Moon several ways to keep players occupied without relying on one activity for the entire experience. If you enjoy games where you can gradually build yourself up and see the results of the time you've invested, this could be worth keeping on your radar.

It also shows why the cozy category can be much broader than people sometimes give it credit for. Space can be cozy, too. Apparently, we just needed a duck to prove it.

I knew I was stepping into an origami-inspired world. Paper mechanics, shape-shifting, maybe a cozy little puzzle experience — cool, I’m in. But what I wasn’t expecting was just how charming, thoughtful, and honestly delightful this adventure would feel.

 A Story Folded With Heart 

At its core, the story revolves around something simple and meaningful — a little boy who writes a letter. From there, you’re not just watching things unfold… you’re living it, as a piece of paper navigating the world tied to that message.

And instead of dumping a ton of exposition on you, the game lets its environments and mechanics do the storytelling. It’s one of those “feel it as you play it” kind of experiences — and those always hit a little different.

 Gameplay That Literally Shapes the Journey 

What makes Origament stand out immediately is how you move through the world. You’re not just running and jumping — you’re transforming.

• Roll into a paper ball to get through tight spots
• Glide as a paper plane across gaps
• Float as a paper boat over water
• Slice through obstacles as a paper shuriken

Each form feels natural, and once you get the hang of switching between them, everything just clicks. It’s smooth, intuitive, and super satisfying — like learning a new skill without the frustration.

And once your brain locks in? You’ll be folding like an origami pro in no time. Get cozy and lets play!

Now I did call this a cozy adventure — and it is — but don’t mistake that for “no challenge.”

There are definitely moments where you’ll pause, think, and maybe even retry a section a couple of times. But here’s the difference: it never feels stressful.

It’s the kind of challenge that encourages you, not punishes you. You mess up, you smile, you try again — and that loop feels good the whole way through.

Let me just say this… the music? Beautiful.

What I really appreciate about Origament: A Paper Adventure is that it knows exactly what it is.

It’s not trying to be overly complex. It’s not chasing trends. It’s just a well-crafted, wholesome experience built around a creative idea — and that confidence shows. And because of that? It stands out.

I went in expecting something cute and relaxing… and walked away genuinely impressed.

Origament: A Paper Adventure is one of those games that sneaks up on you — wrapping you in its world, its music, and its clever design until you realize you’ve been smiling the whole time.

1. Download Steam Link: Install the Steam Link app from your device's app store (available for Android and iOS).
   
   
2. Connect to Your PC: Open the app and connect it to your PC running Steam. Make sure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network.
   
   
3. Start Streaming: Once connected by way of a strong Wi-Fi connection, you can stream your Steam games directly to your tablet and play them as if you were on your PC.

In addition to the Steam Deck & Steam Link, this game would also be right at home on the Nintendo Switch. The tactile nature of touchscreen controls would only add to the charm of the experience.

One of the standout features of Urban Jungle is its soundtrack. The sound effects are pretty nice too. The gentle melodies and soothing ambient sounds create an atmosphere perfect for unwinding. As you progress through the levels, each stage introduces subtle shifts in music and effects that tie beautifully into the evolving environments and challenges. This isn't something I want to sit at a desk and play.

The storyline is another highlight, weaving a tale that is both relatable and heartfelt. The main character’s love for plants is rooted in fond childhood memories with her grandmother—a bond that blossomed as they cared for plants together before her mother moved away to pursue her career. This narrative adds layers of depth and emotional resonance to the gameplay, sparking reflections on family, connection, and the beauty of finding joy in simple things.

Kylyk Games has already nailed the formula for a cozy, thought-provoking game, but expanding its reach would be nice for iPad, Android, and Fire tablet owners. Not everyone has a Steam account, but it's the teams call to go beyond PC. 

Until then, Urban Jungle remains an excellent title on PC—a hidden gem that promises hours of serene, plant-filled gameplay. Whether you’re a casual gamer or a strategy enthusiast, it delivers a peaceful and rewarding experience that lingers in your thoughts long after you’ve stepped away. I give credit to the storyline for this. Rated E for Everyone, Urban Jungle shines as a calming choice for a child's screen time—perfect for those who enjoy cozy games or those moments when you'd prefer to steer away from fast-paced action.
