This summer, the heat isn't just in the air—it's in the recovery zones of RoadCraft, a gripping new simulation from Saber Interactive, the team behind MudRunner and SnowRunner. Expect a lot of loading in this game, and I'm not talking about the loading screen (see what I did there?). With devastation stretching as far as the eye can see, RoadCraft hands you the keys to a fleet of industrial powerhouses and challenges you to restore order to chaos.
In RoadCraft, you're the operations manager of a disaster recovery company, responding to the aftermath of hurricanes, floods, and other cataclysmic events. Your mission (if you choose to accept it):
- Clear debris from hazardous locations
- Reconstruct broken infrastructure across 8 massive maps
- Deploy over 40 specialized vehicles from bulldozers to cranes
- Recycle salvage into usable materials for reconstruction
- Plot GPS-guided convoy routes to avoid obstacles and optimize logistics
Each map spans 4 km² and introduces unique regions like abandoned factories, collapsed bridges, and submerged solar fields. It’s tactical, rugged, and loaded with high-impact missions perfect for fans of jobsite construction-based gameplay. No worries though, you can play with up to four players!
If you're new to these sort of simulation adventure games, make sure that you get familiar with the controls. You will certainly need to know what you're doing and it will boost your enjoyment 10 fold, as you take on various real-world inspired crisis recover with tactical decisions, handling strategic logistics, etc.
